Jim discerns what is important and timeless. He uses these insights to render identity that resonates and persists over time. This view is informed during Jim’s early career when he studied with the legendary identity designer Paul Rand, who designed the IBM logo and identity system, Volkswagen logo and identity system, UPS logo, ABC logo, Westinghouse logo, Rand Corporation identity, IKEA identity, and Adobe. Since his early work with Rand, Jim has designed for IBM, Bayer, Union Carbide, Linde, and many startup businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Jim has more than 30 years of experience in conceiving and shaping corporate identity, branding, marketing communications, benefit communications and investor communications. Jim is passionate about the ability of design to inform, transform and affect the lives of every individual on our planet—and believes every great business relationship is built on mutual trust. His specialties include Ideation, logo design, iconography, branding systems, web development and strategy, senior executive just-in-time presentations, information packaging, visualization of abstract concepts. At Wisdom Projects, he has designed and edited the online imagery and sound for Reimagining Magazine and the Reimagining podcast. He calls his approach “Kwologic” -> Clarity x Consistency = Quality.
