Immediate Food Support

If you need emergency food in Baltimore City right now, dial 2-1-1 to reach the 211 Maryland Helpline for immediate, hyper-local food resources and pantry operating hours.


If you are a resident experiencing an acute food shortage, you can also call the Baltimore City Health Department Maryland Access Point at 410-396-2273 to check eligibility for a free, home-delivered emergency grocery box.

Immediate Hot Meals & Day Shelters

Our Daily Bread Employment Center

  • Meals: Breakfast (Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM–8:30 AM) & Lunch (Daily, 10:30 AM–12:30 PM).
  • Location: 725 Fallsway, Baltimore, MD 21202.


Beans & Bread Day Resource Center

  • Meals: Daily meals, showers, and case management.
  • Location: 400 S. Bond Street, Baltimore, MD 21231.
  • Hours: Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM (Extended hours during Code Blue days).


My Sister's Place Women's Center (For women and children)

  • Meals: Breakfast (7:30 AM), Lunch (12:00 PM), and Dinner (5:00 PM) served daily.
  • Location: 17 W. Franklin Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.


My Brother's Keeper

  • Meals: Lunch (Mon–Sat, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM)
  • Location: 4207 Frederick Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229.
  • Weekly Emergency Food Pantries & Markets.


The Food Project (UEMPOWER of Maryland)

  • Service: Pop-up food markets and meal distributions
  • Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
  • Location: Southwest Baltimore (Call 443-573-0933 for daily pop-up coordinates).


City of Refuge Baltimore

  • Service: Emergency grocery distribution once every two weeks per household.
  • Location: 901 Pontiac Ave, Baltimore, MD 21225.


40 West Assistance and Referral Center

  • Hours: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
  • Location: 4711 Edmondson Ave, Baltimore, MD 21229.
  • Food Rescue Baltimore (No-cost fresh produce drops).

Wednesdays: Enoch Pratt Library Waverly Branch (400 E 33rd St) at 3:00 PM.

Thursdays: St. Luke's on the Avenue (800 W. 36th St) at 11:30 AM.

Fridays: Be More Green (2036 W. North Ave) at 12:00 PM.

Long-Term Food Benefits

If you need ongoing assistance, contact the Maryland Department of Human Services at 410-853-3000 to apply for expedited Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits or to locate a local TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) distribution site. Contact: Call 410-355-6707 to confirm your distribution day.
